Step 6: Complete the Student Participation Rate Form

The TIMSS assessment requires the attainment of a high level of student participation at each school. To determine whether a makeup session is necessary, the step-by-step calculations described on the Student Participation Rate Form must be completed and recorded for each class individually.

If the student participation rate for the class is over 90 percent, Step 7 is not applicable.
