User-Based Organizational Unit

Some schools will assign extensions to users rather than to managed devices. If your school does not use Managed Sessions, please follow these steps.

Step 1: Access the Admin Console   

  1. Go to admin.google.com
  2. Navigate to: Devices → Chrome → Apps & extensions → Users & browsers

Step 2:  Select the User and Browsers Organizational Unit 

Step 3: Add Extension

  1. Click on the yellow “+” button at the bottom right corner.
  2. Select “Add Chrome app or extension by ID.”

Step 4: Confirm Installation    

  1. The Assessment Lock Plus application should now appear on your console.
  2. Ensure it is set to "Force Install".
  3. Once installed, the extension will appear automatically when users in this organizational unit sign in.
  4. Please note that the Assessment Lock Plus extension is only meant to lock the page of the assessment once students have entered the access code.
  5. To exit Assessment Lock Plus, use the button in the top left corner and enter the EXIT password:

You have successfully installed the Assessment Lock Plus application. No further steps are required at this time. Students must enter the PCAP test url (www.cmec.ca/pcap-test) to access the assessment on the day of administration. Please see On Assessment Day for more information.
