Step 8: Try a Practice Assessment (Optional)
REMINDER: The LockDown Environment must be used to access the PCAP on the day of the assessment.
The Practice Assessment allows students and teachers to become familiar with the assessment platform, the question types, and the built-in tools. The Practice Assessment is optional and can be accessed without the LockDown Environment. Students who regularly use assistive audio technology as an individualized assessment accommodation are encouraged to try using the text to speech tool built into the platform. External tools (e.g., Google Read & Write) are not permitted.
The text included in the Practice Assessment is longer than the text found in PCAP; however, it is representative of the type of text included in PCAP. The Practice Assessment was created solely for familiarization purposes and was not used operationally. Sample constructed responses are not provided.
