Step 8: Try a Practice Assessment (Optional)

REMINDER: The LockDown environment must be used to access the PCAP on the day of the assessment. 

Engaging in a Practice Assessment with students prior to assessment day is optional. The LockDown Browser is not needed to access the Practice Assessment. The Practice Assessment is a sample assessment to familiarize students, the test administrator, or the school contact with the assessment tools and format.

To access the Practice Assessment:

  1. Enter the PCAP Home Page URL: www.cmec.ca/pcap-test
  2. If completing the assessment in French, click on the “Français” link in the top right corner.
  3. Click on “Try a Practice Assessment” to begin.
