General information on PCAP
The PCAP 2023 Assessment Framework delineates the conceptual framework of the science, reading, and mathematics components of PCAP. It is informed by the curriculum objectives, goals, and outcomes of the participating provinces, and reflects current research findings and best practices in the field of science, reading, and mathematics. It also presents an overview of the type of information gathered from questionnaires (student, teacher, and school) to capture contextual data.

PCAP is a triennial assessment that is administered over five weeks in the spring. Prior to the assessment and during the assessment window, information about the administration of PCAP is available for schools.
