Pan-Canadian Research Conference was organized by the Council of Ministers of Education, Canada and held on October 3–4, 2018 in Toronto, Ontario. The goal of the conference was to highlight the use of Canadian data in studies related to the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) and other large-scale assessment (LSA) projects and to promote the use of data to help address relevant policy issues. The conference presentations were organized according to four themes: opportunity to learn, exploring achievement gaps, what the data tell us about schools and classrooms, and beyond the core competencies.
