Education Ministers to Meet in Calgary During WorldSkills
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CALGARY, August 27, 2009 – Ministers of education invite members of the media to attend the Council of Ministers of Education's (CMEC) meeting at the Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire (255 Barclay Parade SW) in Calgary, Alberta, September 1–3, 2009. During the meeting, ministers will discuss shared priorities and actions for education across the country, speak with education leaders at the WorldSkills Leaders' Forum, and attend the WorldSkills Competition and other related events.

Media Interview Room
The Sand Lily Room at the Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire will be made available to members of the media for individual interviews with ministers of education. This room will be equipped with microphones and a media feed box.
Media Work Room
The Mariposa Room at the Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire will be made available for members of the media from September 1 to 3, 2009. This room will be equipped with Internet access and power outlets.
CMEC is an intergovernmental body composed of the ministers responsible for elementary-secondary and advanced education from the provinces and territories. Through CMEC, ministers share information and undertake projects in areas of mutual interest and concern.
