Council of Ministers of Education, Canada, to meet this week in Toronto

TORONTO, July 4, 2016 — Provincial and territorial ministers of education will be in Toronto, July 7-8, 2016, for the 105th meeting of the Council of Ministers of Education, Canada (CMEC). 

CMEC 105 will give ministers the opportunity to review progress on CMEC initiatives and activities, and discuss a wide variety of current issues in education. A communiqué will be released Friday afternoon, at the close of the meeting.

The current Chair of CMEC, the Honourable Doug Currie, Minister Education, Early Learning, and Culture for Prince Edward Island, will be available for interviews. Other provincial and territorial education ministers may also be available.
